If you choose to report anonymously, you can choose to opt-in to two-way messaging. This will enable the member of the People and Culture team managing your report to exchange messages with you while you remaining anonymous.
When you tick the box to opt-in to two-way messaging, you will be provided with a 16-digit access code on the Thank you page when you submit your report. (Be sure to note the code down and keep it safe as due to security encryption it can't be reissued or reset if lost.) The People and Culture team will respond to your submitted report via two-way messaging within two working days.
Two-way messaging relies on you returning to the site to check if you have any messages as you will not get message notifications as you won’t supply contact details. To access your messages once your report has been submitted, you will need to revisit the Report and Support website and enter the code into the box on the front page.
Other similar organisations using Report and Support have told us that two-way messaging has helped them to take more action than for a standard anonymous report. Messaging back and forth allows for details to be checked, more information to be shared and it builds trust between the person reporting and the case manager. This trust can enable the reporter to report openly further down the line so further action can be taken.
